How To Make Chemex Coffee
Ingredients:
- 50-60 g of coffee beans.
- Purifier or bottled water.
- One 6-cup Chemex.
- One electric kettle or goose neck kettle.
- One teaspoon.
- Digital or analog scale
- Stopwatch
- Coffee mug
Preparation:
- Boil the water twice for a true brew (you will need an average of 1,200-1,400 grams of water for 6 cups of coffee).
- Grind around 50-60 grams of coffee in the thickness of a French press.
- Insert the filter of Chemex.
- To clean the filter and warm the glass, pour some hot water and pour it out.
- Pour the ground coffee into the filter and shake it lightly. This process will level the area where you will pour the water and provide you with space.
- Pour hot water directly from the electric or goose neck kettle, if available, starting in the middle and spreading it out to the sides.
- 30 -45 sec. Wait for the aromas in the coffee to be released throughout.
- Then continue pouring the remaining water in slow and circular motions. Make sure that the coffee is fully mixed with the water by pouring water on the edges close to the end of the brewing time.
- The total brewing time will take approximately 4:00 minutes.
